My trip to CVS......with the kids! EEEK!!!!

Well, I procrastinated this week in getting to CVS to take advantage of some of the deals.  I decided to go tonight.  I had both the younger girls with me.  I wasn't excited about it but soldiered on.  I tend to make more mistakes when they are with me and in turn, spend more. I am please with the trip tonight, though.  Here is what I got:

1 Charmin Basic 12 double roll pack
2 boxes of Strawberry frosted Pop Tarts'
1 box of Smores Pop Tarts
1 box of Fudge Sundae Pop Tarts
1 gallon of Skim Delight Milk
1 50 oz Tide 2X
2 bottles of Pantene 2in1 Color Protection Shampoo/Conditioner
1 Oral B Cross action toothbrush
1 18 oz dial antioxidant bodywash
1 Bounce Dryer Bar
1 package of CVS training pants (can't wait until I don't have to buy these!)
2 packages of Stayfree 24 count (have 3 girls...stocking up!  LOL)
1 package of sour gummy worms (reward for good behavior) 


Grand total without sales and coupons should have been:$80.35


I paid $37.67 with 4.63 of that being tax.  I got 17 Extra Care Bucks on my receipt.  So, this trip was really $20.67! With the Tide, Bounce Bar, training pants, and the Pantene (all pricey items...) I consider it good! Not great and not as good had I done multiple transactions and rolled the extra care bucks to pay for the next order.....but still good considering. I now have 17 "dollars" to use on my next CVS excursion.  Will be heading to THE Coupon Junkie on Facebook to see what the deals for this coming week are!!

another way to earn points to redeem stuff!!!

RecycleBank is a way to "go green" and earn points to redeem for products, etc.  You get 80 points for signing up and there are several ways to earn more points.  Here is the link to go to the site to sign up.  Another code to redeem for points is RECYCLEYOURMAGS.  It is worth 15 points!

Just a little idea.............

I thought I would share a little tip.  When you start to coupon and are signing up for sites, deals and such, it is useful to have an alternate email address.  Gmail offers free emails, as does Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.  That way all your coupons and deals go to that address and not you "personal" one.  It could get cluttered fast!!
